The Register Office for Bath and North East Somerset is housed in the Guildhall. This grand Georgian Grade 1 listed building is conveniently situated in the heart of the city. The Register Office currently has three beautiful licenced rooms within this magnificent building, the Russell, the Abbey View and the Alkmaar Room. You can also have a statutory ceremony held in the Superintendent Registrar's office.

Historic Rooms

There are some wonderful rooms within the Guildhall that are administered by the Guildhall Events Manager. These rooms are licenced for civil ceremonies as well as drinks and wedding receptions.

Mayor's Parlour

The Mayor's Parlour holds over 800 years of history and offers a unique and prestigious venue for your special day. The City's ceremonial Maces dating from 1708, along with facsimiles of two of the Royal Charters dating from 1189 and 1590 and an impressive silver collection provide beautiful splendour. You will be seated at the large circular French-polished dining table, with up to 30 guests arranged in semi-circles on either side. Ceremonies can only be held on Saturdays.
