A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and business funded body formed to improve a local area. The Bath BID relates to businesses specifically within an agreed area in Bath City Centre. Businesses within the agreed area are required to pay a levy to fund the BID.

The Business Rates team at Bath & North East Somerset Council are responsible for the issuing of BID bills and the collection of monies due from businesses in respect of the BID.

The Bath BID Company are responsible for the management of projects defined by the BID and the monies collected.
