Water is an essential resource and needs to be used carefully as, despite the common view that the British climate is very wet, some areas are experiencing severe drought.

Water and energy saving

We pay for the water we use in our homes in several ways.  Firstly through our water rates but, did you know that on average a household spends up £160 per year heating water?  By saving water, you could also save money on your heating bills.

The key to water efficiency is reducing waste, not restricting use. You can reduce water wastage by making small changes to your habits and by choosing water-efficient appliances and fittings.
