Healthwatch is here to give children, young people and adults across B&NES a powerful voice locally and nationally. It will champion the views of local people, ensuring that patients and the public are at the heart of everything our health and care services do

Healthwatch Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) started on 1st April 2013. It seeks to give people real influence over decisions made about local services; it will support individuals as well as engaging communities; and Healthwatch England will ensure that consumer voice has influence not only locally but nationally too.

Healthwatch B&NES has 2 seats on the BN&ES Health and Wellbeing Board, making sure that the voice of local people is clearly reflected in the Board’s understanding of local need (Joint Strategic Needs Assessment) and in its strategic priorities outlined through the Joint Health and Wellbeing Strategy.

Further information on Healthwatch B&NES, as well as details on how local people can get involved and share their experiences, can be found on their website here.
