Why not make a difference.... Volunteer!

**Please be aware that Volunteers' Week 2016 has been extended and will now run from 1-12 June**

The Volunteer Centre team are currently collating all the celebration events that are taking place throughout Bath and North East Somerset, so if your organisation are planning to put on a celebration event  to thank your volunteers  could you let us know and we will add them to a role of honour which will be shared with The Bath Chronicle and via social media between 1st and 12th June 2016.

Volunteering offers an opportunity to make a difference in your community.  Not only is it a way of giving something back, it is a chance to socialise and meet new friends and it can also increase your chances of paid employment.

Volunteering can also teach you new skills - many opportunities offer training and some even offer formal training with a qualification!

Volunteering can provide valuable references.  Many employers have indicated that they see people who have done some form of volunteering more favourably than others.

Volunteering comes in many forms and there are as many opportunities available. Click Here to find out more about opportunities that exist in your area.
