The Council is proposing to reuse the Parkside building in Bath as a new hub for city centre street cleansing.

After listening to concerns from the community about the loss of the building in Charlotte Street car park the proposal seeks to repurpose Parkside for this important front line service and allow the whole city centre cleansing team and their equipment to operate from one central site. The team's current base is at Avon Street car park, which is due to be demolished  as part of the Council's flagship regeneration project at Bath Quays North to create new office space, homes, jobs and a 320-space modern basement car park.

Members of the public were able to view the proposals and submit feedback from this webpage between 28 November and 8 December 2019. There were also drop-in sessions on Tuesday 3 December to view the proposals and meet with members of the project team. Feedback is now being reviewed and this will to help inform final proposals. A planning application is currently targeted for submission by the end of this year.
