The council is required to publish an annual monitoring report setting out how much CIL has been collected and how it has been used to fund infrastructure. Below is the latest statutory report on the levy.

Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) – Statement of Income and Expenditure for 2016/17

In the 2016/17 financial year Bath & North East Somerset Council received a total of £1,545,852 in respect of CIL from liable developments. The administration allowance was £77,293. This was used to defray CIL administration and continuing set-up costs. The strategic proportion of the CIL received in 2016/17 was £1,236,814. This was transferred to the CIL Strategic Reserve and carried forward unspent to 2017/18. At 31st March 2017 the CIL Strategic Reserve showed a credit balance of £1,309,248 which included £72,434 transferred in 2015/16 and not yet spent. The neighbourhood proportion of the CIL received in 2016/17 was £231,746. Of this, £162,839 related to developments in the Unparished Bath Area. This was transferred to the CIL Local Reserve and carried forward unspent to 2017/18. At 31st March 2017 the CIL Local Reserve showed a credit balance of £172,835 which included £9,996 transferred in 2015/16 and not yet spent. The remaining £68,907 related to neighbourhood CIL from developments in the area of various Parish and Town Councils and was distributed as shown below (2015/16 figures in italics):
