Temporary car parking changes during Bath Leisure Centre refurbishment (5 July)
As part of the ongoing £8m refurbishment to Bath Sports & Leisure Centre external works will be taking place from 10 July to 10 August, including resurfacing of the car park areas. To minimise disruption as much as possible, the work will be carried out in three phases over this period starting with a closure of the underground parking area from 10 to 19 July.
While the number of available parking spaces is reduced, the nearest alternative car parks are at Manvers Street and Bath Cricket Club (parking charges apply).
Pedestrian access will be maintained, but some diversions may be in place and customers should remain aware of the works when in and around the centre.
Details of works phasing:
Monday 10 July to Wed 19 July: Undercroft car park closed at all times during the works period. All four disabled spaces and those outside the pavilion suspended to enable safe manoeuvre and delivery of materials during the works period. All other parking bays remain useable.
Thur 20 July to Thur 10 August: Temporary loss of spaces within the area beneath the walkway during the works. All other parking bays remain useable. Diversion of existing pedestrian routes from the riverside area likely.
Thur 3 August to Thur 10 August: Night time resurfacing works outside of centre opening time.
