Shorter Walks and Rides

The shorter walks ranging from 0.25 miles to 8 miles and rides ranging from 4.5 miles to 23 miles.  Different routes are available to walkers, horseriders, cyclists, wheelchair users and users with pushchairs.

 

Long Distance Promoted Walks

The long distance promoted walks range from 13 miles to 615 miles and members of the public can either complete a small section or the whole route.

 

Permissive Paths

Paths which the landowner has granted permission for the public to use

 

Organised Walks

The Ramblers and Walkers Are Welcome both organise led walks around Bath and North East Somerset for a range of abilities.

 

Countryside Code

'The Countryside Code' is a set of rules for how to act when out in the countryside; a copy of the code is available from Natural England's website.

 

Encountering Livestock

Advice on what to do if you encounter livestock such as bulls and cows whilst out on the public rights of way network.

 

Dogs in the countryside

'The Dog Walking Guide' provides advice for on how to enjoy a safe and happy walk with your dog without causing problems for others; a copy of the guide is available from the Natural England website.
