World War I Centenary events and projects

From 2014 to 2018 events and activities will be taking place across Bath and North East Somerset to mark the centenary of the First World War.

These pages will be constantly updated to provide details of how local people are commemorating the anniversary.  We are keen to hear from organisations about events and projects.  Please email details to centenary_worldwar1@bathnes.gov.uk.

Living History Re-enactment, 11am-3.30pm

Roads to Recovery: War Hospitals of the West Country

Join the actors of the Natural Theatre Company and their band of young actors as they bring to life a First World War field hospital in Queen Square.  Meet real soldiers, listen to music from 1914-18, hear a talk and find out more about the War in Bath Record Office's Research Tent.
