Consultation is underway on a proposed new approach to delivering community mental health services in B&NES.
The proposals, put forward by Bath and North East Somerset (B&NES) Council and Bath and North East Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group (BaNES CCG), aim to make sure that people get the right support, in the right place, at the right time.
In 2013 the Council agreed to a programme of transferring community based assets and services to voluntary groups and parish councils, beginning with a series of “Quick Wins” alongside the development of a more detailed framework and criteria. Since then there have been a number of successful Community Asset Transfers, for example for example Scout land at Kelston Rd, Alexandra Bowls Club, S&D Heritage Railway.
The draft Community Asset Transfer Policy builds upon the work already undertaken and will form part of the Corporate Asset Management Plan.
Bath & North East Somerset Council and Clinical Commissioning Group are looking at how we provide home care services in B&NES, and how we can make them better in the future.
