The Council’s Tenancy Strategy was approved in 2012. The strategy advocates that registered providers of social housing adopt the careful use of flexible tenancies to help the Council meet local housing need. Housing need has been reviewed this year and as a result we are proposing minor modifications to the strategic priorities. We are inviting comments on the modified strategy.
Why are we consulting?
The Localism Act requires us to invite all registered providers of social housing with housing stock in the Bath and North East Somerset area to comment on the Tenancy Strategy.
What happens next:
All comments will be carefully considered in the preparation of a revised Tenancy Strategy which will be adopted later this year. The adopted strategy will be sent to all registered providers with housing stock in the area and published on the Council website.
