The Active Travel Capability Fund is awarded to local transport authorities by the Department for Transport, through Active Travel England. It provides resources to enable and promote increased levels of walking, wheeling and cycling. This is achieved by developing infrastructure plans and designs, public consultation and evidence collection.

We received our allocation from this fund via the West of England Combined Authority (WECA), and have selected three schemes for development. Select a project below to find out more detail and have your say about the proposals.
- Redfield Road and Clapton Road walking route improvement, Midsomer Norton
- North Road to Ralph Allen School shared use path, Bath
- Two Tunnels (NCN244) to Lyncombe Vale shared use path, Bath
The projects are currently at the feasibility stage with targeted local consultation needed to allow feedback and engagement to aid the following steps.
