Eligibility
You may be eligible for an Urgent Repair Grant if you are on a low income and any of the following apply to you:
- you are over 60 years old
- you have a disability
- you have a long-term limiting illness
The maximum grant is £1,500.
What an Urgent Repair Grant covers
An Urgent Repair Grant can help you pay for an essential repair if something important breaks in your home.
For example, a grant could help you fix a broken boiler, or dangerous electrics.
How to apply
To apply for an Urgent Repair Grant, you need to contact our Home Improvement Agency and ask for an Urgent Repair Grant.

What happens next
After you have contacted them, an officer from our Home Improvement Agency will arrange to visit your home.
They will check to see if the repairs you need qualify for the grant and that you are eligible to apply.
