Christmas tree collections

Use this page to find out how to arrange a Christmas tree collection.

By disposing of your tree responsibly, you are helping to minimise waste and protecting resources, ultimately helping to tackle the Climate and Ecological Emergencies.

We will collect your Christmas tree free of charge to ensure it is disposed of responsibly. In some areas, you may have the choice of opting for a charity collection instead, in exchange for a donation. In both cases,  the trees will be chipped and composted.

Charity collection and donation (BA1, BA2, BA3 or BS31)

If you live in BA1, BA2, BA3 or BS31, Dorothy House can collect your Christmas tree for a donation. Collections will take place from Friday 10 January 2025, so this is the quickest way to arrange disposal of your tree.

Dorothy House will only collect your tree if you have made a booking. You must book your charity collection by midnight on Monday 6 January 2025.

Dorothy House will confirm your collection day when you complete your booking.
