The Coppice at Haycombe

The Coppice is a pretty wooded area at the edge of Haycombe, looking out on the stunning view of the Englishcombe Valley. The trees here offer a sense of intimacy and privacy, and provide an attractive and informal place to visit.

In this communal green area, your loved one's loose ashes can be buried by an existing young tree, and nurture its growth, offering a powerful sense of rejuvenation. We are managing this area to encourage wild flowers, bees and other insects to make it their own. The undergrowth will be allowed to grow throughout the year, being cut just once, and with cuttings removed, to encourage renewal and the seeding of new species.

There is a variety of evergreen and young birch trees in the coppice. Each one has space for up to two interments of cremation ashes. We can place a plaque with your choice of inscription next to the tree.
