How long is the personal data retained by the Council?
Bikeability Trust stores your data in the United Kingdom with MythicBeasts, a third-party provider. Whenever they transfer your personal information outside of the UK and the EU, Bikeability Trust ensures it receives additional protection as required by UK law. Bikeability Trust has updated their privacy notice to reflect how they will hold personal data, which has been reviewed and approved by Active Travel England. For further information, go to https://www.bikeability.org.uk/privacy-policy/. Alternatively, you can contact Bikeability Trust at DPO@bikeabilitytrust.org.
Bikeability Trust will only retain personal information for as long as they need it unless they are required to keep it for longer to comply with their legal, accounting or regulatory requirements. Bikeability Trust requires B&NES Council to renew their training provider registration annually, to be able to continue to provide the Bikeability programmes. Where a training provider does not re-register, Bikeability Trust will move their personal data outside of the active training providers system. They will then store it for a period of 6 years from the date of deactivation, at which point it will be deleted (unless the training provider reregisters).
In some circumstances Bikeability Trust may carefully anonymise your personal data so that it can no longer be associated with you, and they may use this anonymised information indefinitely without notifying you. Bikeability Trust use this anonymised information to analyse their programmes and support other similar programmes around the world.
