The purpose of processing
We will be engaging with you to understand how proposed changes to permanently strengthen and improve on-street security (and other changes) might affect you, and to get your thoughts regarding the proposals and alternatives that could be put into place.
We will use the information that you provide to inform us prior to making a final decision on the proposals. The information that is gathered will be anonymous, unless you are representing an organisation and are happy for us to refer to it.

Data subjects will be the participants in this study and will consist of members of the public or members of organisations with an interest in any changes that may be made.

We will adhere to the principles of data protection and will only use the minimum amount of information we need to achieve our aims. We won’t be gathering any information that will make you identifiable, (unless you are representing an organisation – see above). We will collect the following data through written, audio and visual recordings.:

How is it used?
We will take the comments that you make and use them to assess what impact the proposed changes will have on you and similar members of the community. This will inform our planning decisions when we introduce any changes to the City Centre.
We will take any objection you make to the scheme or any element of the scheme to assist in any Public Inquiry, appeal or Judicial Review of the scheme or any element of the scheme for the City Centre.

We will only process your personal data to contact you with your consent, if you do not wish for us to contact you we will remove any personal details that you have provided to us. How long is the personal data retained by the Council?
We will keep your contact details for the period of consultation and until the conclusion of any Public Inquiry but for no longer than 6 months after the conclusion of any Public Inquiry.
