Election of Mayor for West of England Combined Authority

An election will be held on Thursday 1 May 2025 for the Mayor of West of England Combined Authority.

Register to vote

If you are not already registered to vote at your current address, you must register to vote now. The deadline to register to vote for this election is Friday 11 April 2025.

Ways of voting

Once registered, you can:

  • vote in person at a polling station
  • apply to vote by post by 5pm Monday 14 April 2025
  • apply to have someone else vote for you (voting by proxy) by 5pm Wednesday 23 April 2025

Photo ID at the polling station

If you vote in person at a polling station you’ll need to show your photo ID to confirm your identity.

If you do not have a type of photo ID that allows you to vote, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate for free. A Voter Authority Certificate is a paper document that displays your photo and can be used to prove your identity when voting at a polling station.
