System unavailable

Owing to the processing of our annual billing for 2025-26, our system will be unavailable on 20, 21, 27 and 28 February 2025.

The Council Tax, Business Rates and Debt Recovery phone lines will be closed on these days. Our online account management service will also be unavailable.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

A Business Improvement District (BID) is a business-led and business-funded body formed to improve a local area. The Bath BID relates to businesses within a specific, agreed area in Bath City Centre.

Businesses within the Bath BID are required to pay a levy to fund the BID.

Our Business Rates team are responsible for issuing BID bills and collecting monies from businesses.

The Bath BID Company are responsible for the management of projects defined by the BID and the collected monies.

Rateable Value used to calculate BID bills

Before April 2021, the Rateable Value used to calculate the BID Levy was based on the 2010 Rating List.

The Rateable Value will now be based on the 2017 Rating List until the third BID term ends in March 2026, following the renewal of the BID on 1 April 2021.

This means that the calculation will be unaffected by the 2023 Business Rates Revaluation.
