Firs Field
A well-used community green space in the Combe Down area of Bath
Firs Field is a much loved community space, with a strong sense of its history. The triangular field is self-contained, edged by trees and seating areas.
In the middle of the space is a war memorial honouring fallen residents of Combe Down, and a number of plaques explain the history of the field: once a stone quarry, the area now has village green status. Paving to the park's entrance is inscribed with a poem remembering the story of the area's past.
The park is held in trust but is managed by Bath and North East Somerset Council. For more information on the trust please visit: www.fieldsintrust.org
This venue is ideal for small-scale community events and entertainments, or sporting occasions.
