Thank you for responding to the Somer Valley Links - A367 Wellsway – Odd Down roundabout to Churchill Gyratory
The Somer Valley Links (SVL) project aims to improve travel between Midsomer Norton, Radstock and Bath via the A367, Bristol via the A37, and the A362 link road between them, through better bus infrastructure and enabling more walking and cycling.
SVL is a strategic corridor project, funded by the Department for Transport (DfT) and previously led by the West of England Combined Authority (WECA), within the City Region Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) programme.
We are consulting on our proposals for:
- Mobility hubs at eight locations across the A37, A362 and A367 corridor
- Walking, wheeling and cycling route improvements between Farrington Gurney towards Midsomer Norton, A367 Wellsway, as well as a series of quiet routes
- New bus lanes and junction improvements to improve bus journey times
- Bus stop improvements at six locations
The consultation is open until Sunday 16th March.
You can find out more on SVL at www.bathnes.gov.uk/somer-valley-links
The completed questionnaire can be handed in to library staff or posted to us at Strategic Transport, Bath & North East Somerset Council, Lewis House, Manvers Street, Bath, BA1 1JG
Who we are consulting with
We want to hear from anyone who has an interest across the corridors (A37, A362 & A367). We want to understand if these proposals will enable people to adopt sustainable modes of transport and whether there are any measures or infrastructure that you think we have missed.
What has changed since the last consultation?
We have been undertaking more detailed investigations to ensure our proposals are feasible. We have also taken into account your feedback from the previous consultation period and adapted our proposals.
A link to the previous engagement report is available here.
The designs are preliminary or concept (location depending) and will be refined based on public feedback and further technical assessments.
We recommend that you read in detail about the scheme before giving us your opinion about each of the scheme proposals below.
