Henrietta Park
A gracious park, offering an oasis of calm just minutes from Bath city centre.
This tranquil, beautifully landscaped 4 hectare (10 acre) park was opened to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria in 1897.
Its impressive collection of trees includes two national and numerous regional ‘champions’ (largest or tallest of their kind). These and a winding network of paths divide the space into a series of peaceful areas with a sense of self-containment. There is also the charming remembrance water garden, where romantic, scented planting surrounds a formal pond, with secluded seating areas.
Henrietta Park is just a 5 min walk from the city centre, on a level and easily accessible site. It offers an attractive green setting for small-scale events, community days and outdoor theatre.
