In some cases, material may be permanently retained for the purposes of academic study and research.

How long is the personal data retained by the Council?
We will retain any media gathered for the purposes described in this privacy notice routinely for 5 years. Once any media has been placed in the public domain it will no longer be within our control and will therefore potentially remain in perpetuity. Withdrawal of consent will not affect any material in the public domain and will only apply to that which is held by the data controller.
