We have been working to enhance and better manage Kelston Road Park as a space for everyone, as part of our improvement project for the park.
Use this page to find out about the improvement project, what we have done so far and our future plans for the space.
Current developments
Following feedback from the local community, we have already made many improvements to Kelston Road Park in phase 1 of the project, including:
- Planting a variety of trees, flowering bulbs and wildflowers
- Installing new seats and signage
- Improving sports facilities
- Upgrading and making safety improvements to pathways
- Implementing measures to prevent cars from accessing the park
We have also received a £25,000 grant from Enovert Community Trust, which we will use to improve the play area.
Future improvements
We will redevelop and upgrade the play area in Kelston Road park in Phase 2 of the project.
The upgraded play facilities have been designed to take account of results from the park consultation survey and Keynsham Town Council's children's survey and include a range of fun play equipment for children of all ages and abilities.
We will pay for the play area redevelopment using Section 106 funds (contributions made by local developers), the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) and a grant from Enovert Community Trust.
