Grants from under £10,000 to £50,000 are available to charitable organisations based in Gloucestershire for services and activities that directly benefit people with mental health challenges and/or a long-term disability.
The objectives of the Barnwood Trust are:
- The relief of persons who: (i) have a mental or nervous disorder; or (ii) have a serious physical infirmity or disability; and who are sick, convalescent, disabled, infirm or in need, hardship or distress by relieving their conditions or assisting their recovery; and
- To promote research into the cause, prevention and treatment of sickness and to publicise the results.
The Trust’s Grants for Organisations programme provides grants to charitable organisations based and working in Gloucestershire for:
- Holidays and play schemes - grants are available to organisations with a demonstrable track record of providing holidays, trips or play schemes for Gloucestershire people with a disability, and
- Equipment for organisations that provide recreational and sports activities for people affected by long term disability and people with mental health conditions.
