The Sports Foundation for the Disabled Small Grants

Revenue grants of up to £5,000 are available to individuals and charitable organisations, including Town and Parish Councils, in the South West of England and Wales for projects and activities that facilitate access to sporting opportunities for people with a disability.

The aims of the charity are to:

1. Cover the specific costs to enable individuals and groups to achieve a sporting challenge.
2. Support disability sports-specific training courses, and
3. Support the purchase of equipment.


Revenue grants of up to £5,000 are available. Please note that there are separate application forms for grants of up to £1,000 and grants of up to £5,000.

Grants can pay for such things as (please note that this is not an exclusive list):

•    Costs relating to a sport project for people with physical disabilities or visual impairments.
•    Costs relating to sporting challenges including travel, equipment, sustenance and accommodation.
•    New equipment and kit specifically for sport activities, and
•    Training/coaching courses.

Applications may be made at any time.  Projects should ideally start 2 months after an application has been submitted.
