A limited number of grants of £15,000 are available for new and innovative projects across the UK to promote heart health and to prevent or reduce the risks of heart disease in specific groups or communities. Projects should run for between 3 and 12 months.
5 grants of £15,000 are available to charitable organisations with an annual turnover of less than £1 million across the UK during 2025 as follows:
- Wales - 1 grant deadline of 23 April, 5pm
- North of England - 1 grant. Applications open at 9am on Wednesday 7 May and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 4 June 2025.
- Scotland - 1 grant. Applications open at 9am on Wednesday 11 June and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 9 July 2025.
- South of England - 1 grant. Applications open at 9am on Wednesday 16 July and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 13 August 2025, and
- Northern Ireland - 1 grant. Applications open at 9am on Wednesday 20 August and will close at 5pm on Wednesday 17 September 2025.
Project proposals, which can come from UK not-for-profit organisations, including registered charities, community groups, voluntary organisations, sports and physical activity clubs, should focus one or more of the following risk factors of heart disease:
- Alcohol.
- Nutrition and Healthy Eating.
- Physical Activity, and/or
- Smoking.
Innovative projects that have the ability to make a significant impact are likely to be prioritised for grant support.
