Revenue grants of up to £10,000 are available to UK registered charities and community organisations for projects that work to improve the lives of disadvantaged young people and children aged between 0 - 30 years in England, Scotland and Wales and 0-25 years in Northern Ireland, with a particular emphasis on those of Irish heritage. A wide range of projects are funded, which should address one or more of the following areas:
- Advice/advocacy.
- Cross-community initiatives.
- Disability.
- Drug rehabilitation.
- Educational, cultural and social activities.
- Family support.
- Homelessness.
- Training/counselling.
- Travellers, and/or
- Youth work.
One-off revenue grants lasting a maximum of 12 months are available as follows:
- Small grants for up to £2,500, and
- Standard grants for over £2,500 and under £10,000.
The average grant award tends to be for around £5,000.
