Grants up to £5,000 are available to smaller UK registered charities and social enterprises, including Community Interest Companies (CICs), that are working in the areas of breast cancer education, prevention and research.
The Pink Ribbon Foundation is a grant-making trust with a mission to offer grants to organisations working in the field of breast cancer. Many of the charities supported by the Foundation are smaller organisations that operate on a shoestring. Initiatives that promote a positive message about living with breast cancer are particularly welcomed, while applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic organisations are positively encouraged.
The Foundation operates an annual grant programme that provides capital, project or revenue grants up to £5,000 for projects, activities and services that:
- Advance public education in the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment, in particular but not exclusively by commissioning, or conducting, research into the causes, detection and treatment of breast cancer and by disseminating the results of such research, and
- Relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or have been affected by, breast cancer by providing, or assisting in the provision of, information, care or emotional, practical and financial support.
Further information, guidance and details about how to apply is available on the Foundation’s website. Please note that applicants are required to register with the Foundation prior to applying.
The Foundation has one application round each year. The deadline for applications to the 2024/25 round is Friday 31 May 2024. Successful applicants are expected to be notified at the end of July/beginning of August 2024.
