Micro-grants, generally for between £100 and £500, are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of community action, social welfare and medical projects.
The Ancaster Trust is a London-based grant-making charity that is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2025. The Trust awards a significant number of micro-grants annually to a wide range of UK registered charities, with a preference for those providing community, social welfare and medical projects in the UK. A number of grants are also awarded to UK charities working overseas. The trustees have stated that they hope to increase the number of donations made in forthcoming years.
Grants made to UK registered charities are almost exclusively between £100 and £500, with the occasional higher award. There is no requirement for matched funding.
The Trust’s history of grant-making suggest some preference for projects in Lincolnshire.
Please note that the Trust does not have a website. Further information is, however, available on the Charity Commission website.
