Grants, generally for up to £5,000, are available to UK registered charities working in the UK and/or overseas working to further environmental causes.
The Artemis Charitable Foundation is a Scottish grant-making charity that supports small to medium sized UK registered charities, preferably with an annual income of over £100,000. In the past, the Foundation has supported charities working in the UK and/or overseas in the areas of:
- Education.
- Health.
- The environment, and
- The relief of poverty.
However, for its 2024 funding round, the Foundation is focusing its funding exclusively on environmental charities.
The Foundation tends to prioritise project proposals that demonstrate innovation and can be replicated on a wider scale.
The majority of grants are for £5,000 and under, augmented by the occasional higher award.
Applications must be made by email addressed to charitablefoundation@artemisfunds.com and should consist of:
- A covering letter.
- A brief proposal (ideally no more than 2-3 pages) containing an overview of the applying organisation’s work and funding priorities, and
- Basic financial information on the applying organisation, including a summary of income and expenditure activity from the applicant's latest annual accounts
The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday 16 August 2024.
Further information is available on the Foundation’s website. Please note that to access the Artemis Charitable Foundation pages, you may need to click past the pop-up that initially appears (just click on ‘United Kingdom’ and 'Institution'. The Foundation’s pages should then appear).
