Grants of between £1,000 and £5,000 are available to small and medium sized organisations in the UK or overseas for projects that promote Veganism and introduce sustainable ways of going Vegan.
The Vegan Society Grant is open to individuals and grassroots organisations. It exists to support projects which will encourage non-vegans to go vegan and stay vegan. The projects are based across the globe, with a particular emphasis on those based in economically developing countries. A typical award is £1,000 – £5,000 which is granted to projects that meet the Society’s criteria. Priority is often given to marginalised and underrepresented groups. The Trust especially likes to fund new or innovative projects. The aims of the Society’s grants are to:
- Promote veganism in a unique or exciting way to non-vegans.
- Raise awareness of veganism in a positive way, and
- Support people from marginalised backgrounds to access veganism.
Small to medium non-profit organisations or individuals with non-profit projects may apply. Please note that all applicants must be Vegan.
Further information, including guidance on how to present a strong case for funding, is available on the Society’s website.
The panel meets four times a year to consider applications.
