Grants of between £1,000 and £10,000 are available to UK registered charities working in the areas of supporting children and young people, churches, community projects disability, homelessness, medicine, older people and social care. Grants can be used to purchase equipment or to fund projects. The Foundation tends to prioritise national organisations, although this is not exclusive.
The overarching objective of the Green Hall Foundation is to sustainably improve lives, particularly among the sick, the elderly, homeless, the disabled and the disadvantaged, especially in the UK.
Grants are available mainly, but not exclusively, to national organisations in the fields of social welfare and medicine with special emphasis on the support of young people in need and also mentally and physically disabled persons. Preference is given to making grants to assist in funding special projects that make a tangible difference to the applying charity rather than grants to supplement funds and salaries used for general purposes (ie core costs). Overseas projects may be also supported provided that the applicant charity is registered in the UK.
In considering all appeals for major grants the trustees will take into account, where appropriate, the financial reserves of the applying charity.
UK registered charities may apply for a grant of between £1,000 and £10,000, but please note that the application window is very narrow. When a round opens, it will close as soon as 150 eligible applications have been received, which is normally within an hour or two of the programme opening.
Please note that applicants are required to register on the Foundation's website in order to access the online application form. Only online applications are accepted. Further information can be found on the Foundation's website.
