The Thomas Wall Trust awards a small number grants annually of up to £5,000 to UK registered charities for specific projects or core activities that provide disadvantaged adults aged 18 and over with the necessary communication skills for improving their employment prospects, self-confidence, resilience, and life chances.
Applications from charities working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups, such as asylum seekers, refugees, women and people with learning, mental or physical disabilities are welcomed.
Grants of up to £5,000 are available for a period of up to 3 years. Projects that have matched funding in place are likely to be prioritised. Applying charities must have an annual turnover of more than £25,000 and less than £500,000.
Grants can be used for project or running costs.
The Trust operates a two-stage application process for its Charities Grant programme, as follows:
- Stage 1 is to complete an Expression of Interest form which requires some basic contact information and a short description of what the applicant requires the funding for.
- Stage 2 is by invitation only and involves completing a more detailed application form.
Further information, guidance and the Expression of Interest form (registration is required) can be found on the Trust’s website.
