The aims of the Pawprint Trust are "to support young people aged between 11-25 by providing grants to individuals, charities and/or other organisations and through direct delivery to enable recreational and leisure time activities that develop their skills, capacities, and capabilities and enable them to participate in society as mature and responsible individuals”.
Grants are generally for between £50 and £1,000 for applicants that meet the following criteria:
- Aged 11 to 25 years (inclusive) at the time of the project and be resident in the UK.
- The young person must complete the written application form unless they are unable to. If a young person is unable to complete the form s/he should refer to the section headed ‘If you are a young person and unable to complete the application yourself’ in the Trust’s guidance notes.
- A young person may apply as an individual, on behalf of a team of young people who will share the grant money equally or an organisation where the money will be used by most/all of the members.
- Only one application per person per year will be accepted.
- Projects cannot be funded if they take place prior to 31 May 2025.
- Applications cannot be considered retrospectively (if the project has already taken place).
- Domestic and international projects are considered equally, and
- Applications completed incorrectly will not be considered.
Funds are limited only by the total funds available. Grants are normally for between £50 and £1,000, although they can be higher in exceptional circumstances.
To apply, download the application pack and complete the application form. Applications received between 1 January and 31 March will receive decisions no later than 31 May each year. The Trust will review all applications when the window closes and decide how the funds will be distributed.
