Grants of up to £1,000 are available to a wide range of organisations in England, Scotland and Wales including registered charities, voluntary and community groups, schools, health organisations, parish and town councils, Community Interest Companies, other forms of social enterprise, housing organisations, Community Councils, local authorities, Food Banks, Hospices, Women’s Refuges etc operating within a two mile radius of a One Stop Store offering the funding.
The grants can be used for projects which:
- Address food poverty.
- Improve the environment.
- Reduce and/or recycle waste.
- Run Youth Sports Teams.
- Support low-income families.
- Support older people/the elderly, and
- Support people who are vulnerable.
Grants of up to £1,000 are available with no matched funding requirement. Each One Stop Store may be able to provide additional support to help deliver local good causes by, for example:
- Providing awareness raising.
- Fundraising support, and
- Volunteer time.
Before starting an application, applicants should first use the Store Locator on the website to check the distance to the local One Stop store and whether funding is currently available there. Please note that not all stores offer this programme. (There are One Stops in Twerton and Midsomer Norton with both taking part in the scheme at the time of writing).
Applications are considered on a quarterly basis. The next application deadline is on Monday 31 March 2025.
A further application windows in 2025 is scheduled for Monday 1 December to Monday 29 September 2025 for decisions to be announced during the week commencing Monday 10 November 2025.
