Parade Gardens

Pretty riverside pleasure gardens, set in the heart of the city, among heritage architecture - a popular venue for bandstand concerts, festivals and fairs.

These delightful and immaculately presented gardens are Bath's most central pleasure grounds, and one of our signature venues.

Set in the historic city centre, and surrounded by top tourist attractions, this location is popular with Bath’s visitors. To the north, the gardens overlook Pulteney Weir on the River Avon, spanned above by world-famous Georgian landmark, Pulteney Bridge, one of only four bridges in the world to be designed with integral shops along its full length. To the west, there are magnificent views of Bath Abbey, and the Roman Baths lie just a 2 min walk away.

The gardens are renowned for their vibrant bedding displays, formal level lawns and pretty Edwardian bandstand, providing an elegant event site. Home to the Bath Bandstand Programme and successful music, fairs and community events, Parade Gardens are prized by local community and visitors alike.

With two licensed locations, the Bandstand, or beneath the Riverside Colonnades, Parade Gardens is also perfect for weddings and ceremonies. For more information on weddings in our heritage parks, please visit the Heritage Park Weddings website.

Additional fees
There is a fee charged to the public to enter Parade Gardens. If the gardens are required to be closed for your event during normal advertised opening hours in the peak months, if you wish to make your event free to enter by removing the entry fee to the public, or for public safety reasons e.g. setting up infrastructure for a large scale event, then a Loss of Income Fee will be charged in addition to the Land Hire Fee. A quote for this additional fee can be obtained on enquiry.
