Bathampton is a community which fits with its parish boundaries, centred on the conservation area in the centre of the village with its school, church and pub and more modern facilities including a Doctors Surgery, Dentist, Pharmacy, Village Hall and Village shop in the Holcombe Lane area. The community sits within the Avon Valley and is surrounded by green belt land stretching from the Meadows in the Valley floor to Bathampton Downs above.
