Planning application - local requirement
When this requirement applies
All planning applications for development involving minerals (such as quarrying, mining, processing or storage) will require a completed mineral development application form (below).
What the completed form should include
Please download the form and complete it. As well as basic details of the site and intended use, you will need to provide information on the following topics, both during and following construction:
- Environmental impact
- Traffic and transport
- Waste disposal and landfilling
- Flood risk
- How materials will be extracted, processed or stored on site
- How the site will be restored once any mineral extraction is completed
We strongly advise using our Development Team service for this type of proposal. This is particularly relevant for larger and more complex or controversial proposals and should help you identify the information you need to submit with your application.
