Planning application - local requirement

When this requirement applies

All applications proposing developments in excess of 100 dwellings or 10,000m sq new floor space (or an equivalent combination) require a plan for managing waste created by the construction process.

What the plan should include

The plan should detail the following:

  • The type of material to be demolished and/or excavated
  • The volume of material to be demolished and/or excavated
  • Opportunities for the reuse and recovery of materials
  • A demonstration of how to manage and minimise off-site disposal of waste
