We have produced a proposed Statement of Licensing Policy, as the Licensing Authority for Bath and North East Somerset under the Licensing Act 2003. Use this page to have your say on the proposed policy.
What we’re consulting on
We are consulting on the proposed Statement of Licensing Policy 2025 to 2030, which replaces the previous policy.
We are responsible for managing licences to sell alcohol or provide entertainment on local premises such as pubs, bars and restaurants. We aim to help build a healthier economy in Bath and North East Somerset that feels safe and offers diverse cultural activities.
In partnership with other agencies and interested parties, we as the Licensing Authority, seek to develop the area with a view to increasing the number of establishments which are open to the public in the evening. We aim to enable recreation for all ages, whilst at the same time improving the quality of life of residents and increasing the attractiveness of the area to visitors.
This consultation allows people to have a bigger say in shaping this area of policy.
Please make sure you download and read the policy before submitting your feedback.
You can also read the relevant Equality Impact Assessment.
