Our Christmas Memorial Service to honour loved ones that are no longer here takes place on Sunday 8th December at 3pm.
Unfortunately, we are currently unable to accept textiles for reuse at any of our recycling centres.
Please consider donating good quality textiles to your local charity shop or using a textile bank at your local supermarket. We expect to have recycling containers for textiles back in place with a new provider shortly.

During the Christmas Market the operational times of the city centre bollards will be changed to make sure the sites footprint is safe.
Cheap Street, Upper Borough Walls, Lower Borough Walls and Hot Bath Street bollards will be closed between 10am and 9pm, Wednesday 27th November, and then between 9am and 9pm, Thursday 28 November to Sunday 15 December.
York Street bollards will be closed 24/7 with managed access by event security, with no access between 9am and 10pm, Wednesday 27 November to Sunday 15 December. If you have any questions about access during those times, please contact Christmas_market@bathnes.gov.uk.

A package of measures for this Liveable Neighbourhood (LN), based on community feedback, has now been shortlisted for inclusion in the full business case (FBC) for the programme.
The purpose of the FBC is to secure funds to develop and install this LN by March 2027 subject to further engagement and detailed designs.
Three experimental through-traffic restriction trials in this area are due to start this Autumn under our pilot programme and will progress separately.

From 7 October 2024 Bath Recycling Centre will be closed on Tuesdays and Midsomer Norton Recycling Centre will be closed on Thursdays, opening hours for Keynsham Recycling Centre will remain unchanged.

The one-way experimental trial for the Lyme Road and Charmouth Road area is postponed until we have engaged the community on a wider package of measures for this LN area.
We have submitted a full business case (FBC) to the West of England Combined Authority to secure approval and funds to deliver a package of measures in 11 LN areas by March 2027.
We have submitted a full business case (FBC) for the Liveable Neighbourhood Programme and, in discussion with ward councillors, agreed not to pursue funds to develop a Liveable Neighbourhood in this area in 2024.
This is due to budgetary constraints. Should further funding opportunities arise next year, we will engage the community.

From Monday 1 April 2024, you will need to pay £22.40 for a replacement wheelie bin for your rubbish if it is lost or stolen.
Please note that the charge for replacement wheeled black bins was agreed in our 2022/23 budget to help offset the purchase and delivery costs associated with providing a replacement bin.
Our recycling centres are only open to B&NES vehicles. However, anyone can visit the Reuse shop on foot or by bike, regardless of where you live.
Our depot staff car park is open on Saturdays to customers who don't live in B&NES.
The car park entrance is just after the recycling centre on Worlds End Lane, and will be open to the public every Saturday from 9.30am and will close at 3pm promptly.
