A 'permissive path' is a path where the landowner has granted permission allowing public use and these routes can provide a useful addition to the wider outdoor access network. Permission can be withdrawn and, by granting permission, the landowner is communicating a lack of intention to dedicate the route as a public right of way.
The permissive paths which the Authority are aware currently exist within Bath and North East Somerset are shown on the online map.
