NOTICE is given that the Bath and North East Somerset Council has made an order on the 30th May 2024 under Sections 1 and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (“The 1984 Act”) as amended and all other enabling powers of the 1984 Act, the effect of which will consolidate all existing variations of the Area Parking Prohibition and Restriction Orders in Bath and North East Somerset into one new parent order. No new restrictions will be introduced as part of this process.

 

The order will come into operation on 3rd June 2024. Full details of the consolidation order together with a Statement of the Council’s Reasons for making the order may be inspected at the One Stop Shops at Manvers Street, Bath, The Hollies, High Street, Midsomer Norton and at the Civic Centre, Market Walk, Keynsham during normal office hours. The proposal may also be viewed on the Council’s website by typing in 24-019 in the search box on the home page: www.bathnes.gov.uk/permanent-traffic-order-notices

 

Any person who desires to question the validity of, or any provision contained in the order on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any of the relevant requirements of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks after the date on which the order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
