Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of A362 Radstock Road, Midsomer Norton from its junction with North Road/A362 Station Road extending east to its junction with Wheelers Hill. This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable National Grid to carry out decayed pole changes and fault repair works on the 6th April 2025 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to take place over 2 Sundays between 08:00 – 18:00hrs.
The anticipated closure dates are:
• Sunday 6th April 2025
• Sunday 18th May 2025
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: A362 (remainder) – A367 – A37 – A362 – Vice versa.
