Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit in that length of:
- B3130 Winford Road, Chew Magna, from a point approximately 200 metres east of The Firs extending west for approximately 357 metres to its junction with Pagans Hill / Limeburn Hill. URSN: 47918097
- B3130 Chew Road, Chew Magna, from a point approximately outside Riverside Barn extending east for approximately 300 metres to its junction with Pagans Hill / Limeburn Hill. URSN: 47919863
- Limeburn Hill, Chew Magna, from a point approximately outside Westfield Cottage extending south for approximately 360 metres to its junction with B3130 / Pagans Hill. URSN: 47916531
- Pagans Hill, Chew Stoke from a point approximately 65 metres south of the property known as Islett, extending north for approximately 366 metres to its junction with B3130 / Limeburn Hill URSN: 47902167
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Openreach to access the overhead network – cabling for new customer connection on the 15th July 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for ONE DAY between 09:30 – 15:30hrs only.
