Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of London Road East, Batheaston, Bath from a point outside 207 London Road East, extending across the Fiveways Roundabout to a point approximately outside 241 London Road East. USRN: 47919559.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out resurfacing works on the 22nd August 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be affected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for TWO NIGHTS between 19:00 – 07:00hrs only.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTES:
London Road East (remainder): A4 – London Road West – High Street – Vice versa.
Southbound/Northbound Traffic: Bannerdown Road (remainder) – County Boundary North to Junction Road to Colerne – Doncombe Hill – A420 – A46 – London Road West – High Street – London Road East – Vice versa.
