Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure in that length of Moorledge Road, Chew Magna from a point approximately 118 metres west of Double House Lane extending east for approximately 265 metres. USRN: 47917232.
This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to carry out drainage improvement works to remove highway flooding from the 1st March 2025 for a maximum period of 12 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. Works are anticipated to be for FIVE DAYS.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Moorledge Road – Moorledge Lane – Bromley Road – A368 – Moorledge Road – Vice versa.
