Notice is given that Bath and North East Somerset Council in exercise of its powers under section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily introduce a road closure to cyclists and vehicles in that length of North Parade Bridge / North Parade Road, City Centre, Bath from its junction with Duke Street extending east for approximately 212 metres. USRN: 47921699 / 47913559.

This order is required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road to enable Bath & North East Somerset Council to undertake essential waterproofing works, masonry and bridge repairs on the 20th May 2024 for a maximum period of 6 months. The road will only be restricted as and when traffic signs are in position and may not be effected for the whole of the period but only for so long as is necessary to execute the works. This is anticipated to be for EIGHT WEEKS.

Alternative route: Westbound: A36 Pulteney Road – A36 Rossiter Road – A36 Churchill Bridge Roundabout – A367 Churchill Bridge – A367 Ambury – A367 Corn Street – St James Parade – Dorchester Street – Manvers Street – Pierrepont Street – North Parade.
Eastbound: North Parade – Pierrepont Street – Manvers Street – Dorchester Street – Broad Quay - A367 Churchill Bridge – A36 Lower Bristol Road – A36 Rossiter Road - A36 Pulteney Road – North Parade Road.
Cyclist Diversion: Westbound: A36 Pulteney Road – Edward Street – Great Pulteney Street – Argyle Street – Grand Parade – Pierrepont Street.
Eastbound: Pierrepont Street – Orange Grove – High Street – Bridge Street – Argyle Street – Great Pulteney Street – Edward Street – A36 Pulteney Road.
